Boondock Billies named "Best New Band of 2007." - January 24, 2008
Carbondale's Nightlife named the Boondock Billies as one of Carbondale's "Best New Bands of 2007." We are honored to be included as Carbondale has a very active music scene.

Winfield 2007: the 36th Annual flatpicking guitar championship - September 19, 2007
The Boondock Billies made their first appearance at the legendary Winfield Kansas folk and bluegrass festival this September. The BdB boys ate, drank, and slept bluegrass and old time music for a week of stringed bliss.
On Friday Sept. 14th, BdB played on Stage 7 and shared the stage with Truckstop Honeymoon, Mountain Sprout, and the Kansas favorite
Split Lip Rayfield.
Many of the festival's headlining artists appeared on the smaller stages this year including the Wiyos, Beppe Gambetta, and Tommy Immanuel.

Comin down the mountain - July 27, 2007
Boondock Billies on the loose and spotted back in Southern Illinois, after a nice trip out to Wyoming and Colorado. Didn't get bit by rattle snakes, an didn't break too many guitar strings.
We got to meet some great people up on Casper mountain, including the incredible
Jalan Crossland, and his baddass band.
Then we got to play down in Colorado at Robert's Ranch and hang with our buds the Woodbox Gang. Hugh and the gang treated us to some great new tunes, and we all sung in harmony in the rain.
